The Unbelievable Effects of Developing Resilience

At the time of writing in 2021, following over a year of dealing with the challenges associated with COVID, we are facing more dashed expectations of an end to this long ordeal, thanks to the Delta variant.

We can be crushed by this news, or we can choose to use it as an opportunity for growth.

But how can we grow from these challenging times? The answer is by developing resilience

Overcoming challenging experiences

Looking back on my own experiences in 2018, where life dealt me one punch in the gut after another will explain what I mean.

The year began for me with the end of a relationship with a boyfriend who I was crazy about which left me devastated and driven to depression. This was followed by a series of events touching almost every area of my life. Everything from problems with disruptive housemates to the stress of dealing with a new EU data law that could potentially destroy my business if it wasn’t addressed correctly.

Friendships fell apart, I was stressed from overworking, and I had to move out of my beloved home and find somewhere new to live. Loneliness and despair kicked in leaving me feeling very isolated and finding it hard to be positive about the future. I was feeling like a victim to life

In the midst of this I developed a giant and painful cyst on my back that needed attending to regularly, but was extremely hard to reach. The recommendations from my naturopath were helping, but the progress was far too slow, and I was having to consider surgical removal.

In trying to address the cyst, I discovered the metaphysical underpinnings.  The questions I got were, “What will it take to stop feeling sorry for myself?  And “What will it take to accept my life as a learning experience and look forward with hope?”

“Wow! “ I thought.. “how timely!”

Developing resilience to bounce back

In pondering these questions, I realized that I needed to do a better job of bouncing back and releasing the barriers to building resilience. After all, people who experience hardship in their lives can learn to adjust and survive, developing the resilience to move forward. I drew upon my knowledge of the Body Code to identify and release underlying causes that were getting in the way of developing the resilience I needed.

And wow did my life turn around!

I saw an immediate difference within a day; first, my view of the world changed and then my experiences changed too! I felt more optimistic about finding a fabulous new home, I sought support for my business by engaging with new coaches and recruiting a fantastic new hire. Friends started to trickle back into my life and were available to spend more quality time with me.

And what happened to my cyst? In just 1 week, after clearing the metaphysical underpinnings, getting a new tincture and salve from my naturopath, and continuing to take hot baths with Epson salt, it decreased by 75% in just under a week!

My life completely changed by releasing my barriers to resilience and allowing the law of attraction to bring yet more positivity.

With the recent suicides in the news, Americans are once again trying to grasp the loss of so many that we love. According to the CDC in 2018, 25 states had experienced more than a 30% rise in suicide rates since 1999.

Building resilience is one of the most important ways we can grow from our life experiences and even prevent suicidal thoughts. Our resilience is based not only on our life long accumulative experiences, but also the experiences of our ancestors, and how they handled life’s blows.
